Freestyle Motocross is one of the most popular and rapidly growing action motorsport attractions. Vaters’ Monster Motorsports will be at P&S with high-flying freestyle motocross riders to thrill the Carlisle fans all weekend long. Riders will defy gravity while performing stunts in mid-air, jumping 65’ gaps from steel ramp to steel ramp.

The 2010 RIX Magazine Model Search is officially underway and one of the first casting calls of the year will take place at Carlisle Performance & Style. RIX is looking for the next bombshell team of RIX girls. Gentlemen: Enjoy the competition of some of the hottest, most down-to-earth ladies in the business. This Carlisle Casting Call is open to all amateur and professional models with the winner to be featured in the pages of RIX Magazine.

You want it loud? Carlisle Performance & Style is where to be May 8-9 to experience dB Drag Racing, Bass Race and Psychlone – three of the premier formats for SPL (Sound Pressure League) competitions.

Performance & Style will have all three thumping throughout the weekend. dB Drags pose two vehicles head-to-head, to see who has the loudest stereo. Bass Race is a stereo competition where competitors play commercially available music for 30 seconds and are given an average SPL score that places the competitor in one of six classes. New this year, the Psychlone audio competition is a format designed to capture the original excitement of a great sounding aftermarket car stereo installation. Each contestant's sound system is scored based on how loud it will play (SPL), the frequency response of the system (RTA), and installation quality.

Building T will feature the Tuned in T display, presented by the WR Team. Tuned in T will be a true representation of the timeline of our “tuner” passion. We hope to have old school original mack cars that started it all, new rides pushing the limits with the newest trends and everything in between on display. Who better to help put this display together than the WR Team, a local club known for innovation?

The Performance Pavilion will be both an invitational display and an area of the showfield for cars and their drivers that fit into this category, to park and enjoy the weekend. The VIP/Luxury display will be back at Carlisle but with a twist for 2010: Our friends at RIX Magazine will host the RIX Magazine VIP/Luxury Lane invitational display in Building Z, underneath the Carlisle Grandstands. Check out some of the feature vehicles straight from the pages of RIX Magazine. To add to the atmosphere, RIX will also have their house DJ spinning the latest hip-hop and reggaeton music emerging from the Tri-State area.

In addition to the RIX/VIP Luxury Lane invitational display, we will also have a designated VIP/Luxury showfield parking area, just outside the NELOC Pavilion. In addition to the competition among the cars on the Performance and Style Showfield, there is a battle between clubs to see who has the most cars registered. As a bonus, we offer the use of a 20’ X 20’ tent to those clubs who register 25 vehicles or more. These tents are a great place to take a break and they make a great club headquarters for the weekend. Larger clubs may be eligible for a bigger tent. Contact us for details.

NELOC has members from all across the East Coast ranging from southern Virginia, to Maine and everywhere in between.

The NELOC members not only share a passion for the Lexus brand, but also for positive involvement in their communities through their participation in many charity and community events, including Toys for Tots cruises. NELOC will once again host their annual Carlisle gathering at P&S again this year. You will marvel at their impressive display of some of the hottest VIP/Luxury rides in the country. Be sure to make your way out to the NELOC pavilion, on the VIP/Luxury Showfield, and visit the NELOC forum before the show.

No Carlisle event would be complete without the burnout contest. “Carlisle King (or Queen) of the Hill” bragging rights are up for grabs once again at Carlisle Performance and Style. Pre-registration is required at Guest Services. A show sticker (i.e. registered for vending or showfield), driver’s license and proof of insurance are required. Participants are limited to 10 vehicles and 3 minutes each.

Contestants for Miss Carlisle Performance and Style compete for cash prizes on Saturday evening at the Grandstand. Ladies can register at Guest Services by the stage Friday and Saturday prior to the event.

On Saturday night, teamed up with the classic P&S beauty and burnout competitions will be the Loudest and Carlisle Lowest. Lowest – pull in, drag your ride and we will measure the bottom of the driver door, to determine who is the winner. This year, we will have two awards: Lowest Car and Lowest Truck. Don’t think we are going to forget about our mini brother and sisters! Loudest – pull-in, rev it and we’ll measure who is blowing the loudest exhaust system. Lowest and Loudest is limited to 10 contestants, sign up at the Guest Services Trailer located next to the stage.

Axcelerated Motorsports is the official Dyno of Carlisle Events. Axcelerated provides mobile Dyno tuning for cars and trucks using their Dynojet 248 chassis dynamometer. Their wide band O2 monitoring will determine if all that precious fuel is making power or just being wasted out the tailpipes. Attention clubs! Coming early or staying late? Performance and Style will once again be a two-day show with a judged and non-judged showfield. Judging will take place on Sunday ONLY. We moved to this format last year and saw it as the chance to enjoy all of the activity happening on Saturday, with Sunday as business time! Vehicles will be parked in classes on Sunday and our terrific team of judges, from the WR Team, will conduct walk-around (no drive-thru) judging. Classifying will begin at 9:00 AM; ALL VEHICLES NEED TO BE PARKED IN THE JUDGING AREA BY NOON TO BE JUDGED.

Whether it’s for bragging rights or to add a photo for your display, the Carlisle Events Award Parade is a must-do for winners and spectators alike. Professional photography is available at the parade ceremony and available on-site for purchase.

If you cannot attend the parade, your award can be picked up Sunday between 2:00-4:00 PM. Carlisle Events will no longer provide shipping of awards at no cost. After the show you may pick up your award during regular business hours at the fairgrounds or we will ship awards for $10 each. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope you will join us on Sunday in celebrating the vehicles that are honored as winners.

Carlisle Performance and Style is fun for the entire family and we have not forgotten the kids. On Saturday, the Kids at Carlisle Activity Center Area will have crafts and games for kids and parents to enjoy together. Don’t miss appearances by the Carlisle Events mascots Max and Mandy the Mechanic, who will visit the kid’s area periodically throughout the day. We also have lots of play activities that we think will “wow” the young ones. Come and check it out!

For 2010, please note the official open time for the Performance & Style has been changed from 7AM to 9AM. The Showfield Registration office (located just outside Gate 3) will open at 8AM for pre-registered vehicles. Owners of pre-registered vehicles may pick up their showfield passes at that time. On-site registration will be available at 8AM as well.
